La Jolla Shores is a very nice and expensive hotel right on the beach in Southern California. My mother and I clicked on an ad to book a room at “La Jolla Shores Hotel”. One other person commented "trust but verify" and I absolutely agree. On the downside, they do have like hidden fees that show up right before you actually pull the trigger which is pretty uncool and end up bringing the price to pretty close to (but still below) the normal hotel rate. Wish we could have taken the trip but hey life is like that. Overall, I was pretty terrified after booking then reading reviews but ended up spending 24 hours of anxiety for no reason at all. I guess that's also because the hotel was cool about refunding them in full too. Even crazier, I ended up having to cancel the reservation due to a serious family emergency (Turkey earthquakes :/ :/ :/ ) and after calling and explaining the situation they actually refunded me fully (two calls like a day apart). Next day I actually went one step further then and asked them to pre-pay the rooms, and got confirmation from hotel that they had indeed pre-paid later that day. I booked a trip in Puerto Rico and within a day they had reserved the hotel rooms. Hey for what it's worth my experience with them has been very good.
